How to ensure the stability of structures made of stacked concrete blocks?

How to ensure the stability of structures made of stacked concrete blocks?

With the use of stackable interlocking concrete blocks, building has never been easier. They can be easily produced by pouring concrete into steel moulds. By stacking them, you can create repositionable walls and sustainable structures. The concrete blocks are reusable and very versatile. The interlocking system, with studs and recesses, creates clutch power/grip that provides great stability of the wall itself and prevents it from tipping. However, what if we take factors like the lateral load of stored bulk material, the maximum fill height and required wall dimensions into account? Will a wall made of stacked concrete blocks be stable enough?

MOSTLY, it will be… But why take that risk?

“When safety is first, you last.” And that´s what we also want for your stacked concrete block walls – to last as long as possible, so you can fully enjoy the benefits of modular construction. Therefore, we also offer a structural analysis of stacked concrete blocks. You no longer need to worry about the right height or width of your construction, because our contracted specialists will take care of all calculations needed to ensure maximum stability and safety of your wall structures. The safe way is the best way.

We work in close cooperation with our partners – Concrete Block Engineers-, to analyse all different types of concrete block walls and we will help you with both new and existing projects. In case you have any doubts regarding the stability of your walls, or about the maximum capacity of your storage bays, do not hesitate to contact our specialists. They will provide fast, but expert advice tailored to your specific needs and wishes.
